Beginning my project & Renaming my Project

For the last 7 years I have dreamed of starting a photography project based on Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, the quote attributed to Plato. I really did not know how to start, where to begin, so it was just a distant thought and since I am somewhat of a procrastinator, it was put on the back burner. Every time I have come across different photographers who have put out their photo projects through the years, I think, I need to start my Beholder project. Recently, especially seeing the "Humans Of New York" photography project, I became very inspired. Coupling that inspiration with the fact that I am on a sick leave from work and have some time on my hands and between Drs visits and trying to find something to keep my mind occupied and not focused on illness, I decided I need to start my project. I am not getting any younger and there is no more time to put this project off.
I love photography and I love seeing life in action; people living their day to day lives and I love trying to capture fleeting moments of people, life and emotions with my camera.
I have been fascinated with photography my entire life and I got my first point and shoot camera at age 12, I believe. It was ON from that day forward. I have practically lived with a camera on my person and in my car and home every single day. If nothing else, I am ever ready with my cell phone to grab that moment in time. I have documented my family, friends and loved ones and random people wherever and whenever the inspiration hits me.
The premise for my project is to photograph as many people as I can depicting every day people. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. We all see beauty differently.
It is my hope I can show that everyone is worthy of having their immortality captured in a photograph and to simply capture people in a moment in time. The moment I press the shutter release and freeze the magic is what I hope to share. Some are portraits, some candid or photojournalistic in nature.
My project begins in Lincolnton, NC

P.S. My project will be called The Unnamed Photo Project since I have yet to find any name that is not being used!!!!

(another unflattering photo of me snapped by my well-meaning husband, lol, but I at least its with my camera in hand!)
